MGMT 408 - HR Analytics


Units: 3
Application of statistical data analysis methods to analyze HR functions such as selection, compensation, performance management, leadership, and employee engagement.  It uses a data-driven, problem-solving approach for the development of effective HR practices. 

Prerequisites: MGMT 350, junior or senior or post-baccalaureate standing.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify effective data collection methods to analyze effectiveness of HR practices.
  2. Apply statistical data analysis techniques to analyze strategic human resource (HR) management practices.
  3. Use data and metrics for HR problem-solving and decision-making.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of HR data analysis techniques, along with mistakes to avoid when interpreting HR data.
