MGMT 312 - Human Resources Management

Human resources management for human resource professionals and general managers. Representative topics include recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits. Emphasizes how organizations manage human resources to obtain and sustain a competitive advantage.

Prerequisites: Junior, senior or post-baccalaureate standing.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MGMT 3610.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify workplace problems caused or made worse by faulty human resource management practices.
  2. Apply the tools of human resources management to solve business problems.
