Close reading and analysis of the poetical works of Geoffrey Chaucer: Canterbury Tales, Troilus and Criseyde, Minor Poems.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Students will demonstrate knowledge of Chaucer’s narrative forms and themes;
Students will demonstrate knowledge of major events and characters in Chaucer’s works;
Students will learn to apply modern critical theories and methods to the elucidation of Chaucer’s works;
Students will demonstrate their ability to write critically on topics of importance in Chaucer’s works.
