ENGL 332 - Chaucer Units: 4 Close reading and analysis of the poetical works of Geoffrey Chaucer: Canterbury Tales, Troilus and Criseyde, Minor Poems.
Equivalent Quarter Course: ENGL 4151. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of Chaucer’s narrative forms and themes;
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of major events and characters in Chaucer’s works;
- Students will learn to apply modern critical theories and methods to the elucidation of Chaucer’s works;
- Students will demonstrate their ability to write critically on topics of importance in Chaucer’s works.
