MGMT 620 - Leading Teams and Managing Creativity


Units: 3
Development of skills in effectively leading teams and fostering creativity. Explores interpersonal processes, team structure, intra-team relationships, and knowledge sharing as factors influencing team effectiveness; and theoretical conceptualizations of creativity and practical methods for fostering creativity in individuals and teams.

Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify and apply theories of team behavior and management of teams.
  2. Use analytic and interpersonal skills to effectively lead diverse groups and teams.
  3. Develop leadership skills that foster creativity and innovation in individuals and teams.
  4. Analyze the influence of organizational practices and environmental conditions on creativity in organizations.
