MGMT 662 - Operations Analytics


Units: 3
Quantitative analysis of data that can be used to make efficient and profitable decisions in various operations settings. The emphasis is on utilizing methods and software of big data analytics in operations management.

Prerequisites: MGMT 602.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate the understanding of the importance of data-driven decision-making methods in solving a variety of problems in operations area.
  2. Evaluate real-world cases of how operations analytics have been used to transform a business or industry.
  3. Develop extensive skills in applying various tools/software in modeling demand uncertainties, predicting outcomes of competing policy and choosing the best course of action in face of risk.
