COMM 333 - Photojournalism Units: 2 Essentials of documentary-style journalistic photography, including news, sports and entertainment genres. Students create individual portfolios and serve as photographers for Pioneer Media.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Shoot and edit publishable pictures for The Pioneer print and online;
- Explain and interpret fundamental media ethics and laws pertaining to visual journalism, and as articulated by the National Press Photographers Association;
- Cover events and people with journalistic accuracy and concern for the power of visual representation.
