HIST 404 - Introduction to Teaching of History Units: 4 Seminar in teaching history at the K-16 level. The course presents an overview of the way history has been taught in the U.S.; survey of current pedagogical trends; use of primary sources in the history classroom; methods for developing curriculum.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify major debates, problems, and trends in the scholarship of the teaching of history;
- Analyze historical scholarship on past practices of teaching history;
- Critically evaluate history curriculum and classroom practices
