HIST 403 - Introduction to Digital Historical Methods Units: 4 An introduction to Digital History-its past, its current state, and its possible future. The creation of digital projects and the evaluation of various digital tools for historical research; discussion on the place of Digital History in historiography.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Analyze the usefulness and the impact of digital tools on the field of history.
- Discuss the development of Digital History and the scholarly discussions around Digital History.
- Explore, employ, and teach fellow students about a wide variety of digital tools.
- Evaluate websites which use digital history.
- Work collaboratively with others in solving historical problems and presenting findings to a public audience.
- Discuss the place that digital history has in historiography.
- Conduct historical research in digital primary sources and achieve digital literacy in accessing primary sources and other historical materials.
