REC 680 - Trends and Issues in Hospitality, Recreation, and Tourism Units: 3 Investigate current trends and issues impacting management of hospitality, recreation, recreation therapy or tourism organizations. Define a problem, write a comprehensive literature review, and develop the scope of work or methodology in preparation for the applied research project.
Prerequisites: REC 630. Equivalent Quarter Course: REC 6500. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Investigate current trends and issues affecting management of hospitality, recreation, recreation therapy or tourism (HRT) organizations.
- Select one HRT management problem for further study and analysis.
- Develop a comprehensive review and analysis of current, credible research directly related to the selected HRT industry.
- Develop the scope of work or methodology for the applied research project.
- Obtain Institutional Review Board approval and develop data collection documents if conducting research involving human subjects.
