KIN 490 - Independent Study Units: 1 - 3 Individual investigation of a specific issue, area, or topic in kinesiology planned in consultation with a department faculty member.
Prerequisites: Department consent and minimum 2.0 GPA. Equivalent Quarter Course: KIN 4900. Repeatability: May be repeated for a maximum of 9 units. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify a question of practical and/or theoretical importance with an underlying rationale;
- Synthesize and integrate relevant research literature;
- Design a methodology and analytical framework to address the question;
- Effectively present conceptual frameworks, methods and findings both orally and in writing
