MATH 310 - Linear Algebra Theory


Units: 3
Abstract vector spaces, linear transformations, matrices, inner product spaces, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Emphasis on both theory and application.

Prerequisites: MATH 210 and MATH 300 both with grade C- or better.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MATH 3100.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply the definitions, techniques and theorems of linear algebra.
  2. Creatively conjecture and rigorously write, analyze and critique proofs in linear algebra
  3. Communicate solutions to problems in linear algebra effectively
