MATH 330 - Analysis I


Units: 3
Field properties of the real numbers. A rigorous study of sequences, completeness, limits, continuity, derivatives and Riemann integration.

Co-requisites: MATH 300.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MATH 3300.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply the definitions, techniques and theorems of analysis.
  2. Creatively conjecture and rigorously write, analyze and critique proofs in analysis.
  3. Communicate solutions to problems in analysis effectively.
  4. Explain the connections between analysis and the high school curriculum.
