MATH 131 - Calculus II


Units: 3
Integration techniques and applications; sequences and series; introduction to differential equations.

Prerequisites: MATH 130 with grade C- or better.
Equivalent Quarter Course: Students who have taken MATH 1305 AND MATH 2304 under a recent quarter catalog will receive credit for MATH 131.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply definitions, techniques and theorems to solve problems using sequences, series, and integration.
  2. Model real world problems using appropriate technology and calculus tools such as integrals, sequences, and differential equations.
  3. Use the techniques of calculus to solve abstract and applied problems individually and in teams.
