PSYC 431 - Perception Units: 4 This course covers how the eyes, ears, and other sense organs bring information about the world to the brain, and how this information is used to perceive objects and events.
Prerequisites: PSYC 330. Equivalent Quarter Course: PSYC 4345. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Compare and contrast the major empirical findings and theories about how humans and other animals take in and interpret information from the physical world.
- Explain how scientific methods and perceptual illusions inform knowledge about sensation and perception.
- Apply the principles of sensation and perception to real world settings
