KIN 447 - Motor Skill Expertise Units: 3 Science of expertise in motor skill acquisition and performance. Evidence-based concepts and principles underlying elite training and skilled physical performance. Practical applications for teaching, coaching, and training elite performers.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Satisfactory completion of KIN 304 and KIN 308. Prerequisites: KIN 307 with grade B or better. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Describe and explain science based concepts and principles of motor skills expertise.
- Search, access, and consume scientific information in the field of expert performance.
- Critically evaluate motor skill teaching methods and coaching approaches to expertise development.
- Apply concepts and principles of expertise development to practical situations with varied populations.
