REC 630 - Advanced Data-Driven Decision in Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism Units: 3 Analysis of the use of current/credible research and quantitative/qualitative data to make informed management decisions about issues impacting hospitality, recreation, recreation therapy and tourism organizations. Create written reports and develop an action plan for the Applied Research Project.
Prerequisites: Department Consent. Equivalent Quarter Course: REC 6000. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify sources of current and credible research and data directly related to management of hospitality, recreation, recreation therapy or tourism organizations.
- Analyze current and credible research/data to address an industry problem or issue.
- Develop reports containing visual representations and narratives to explain and justify data-driven management decisions.
- Develop an action plan for the Applied Research Project.
