Global works of environmental literature.

Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Analyze and interpret recurring themes in literature of the environment and eco-sustainability in clear and cogent prose.
  2. Apply contemporary theoretical and critical approaches about ecology and the environment to global works of environmental literature.
  3. Use stages in the writing process to develop literary criticism for an academic audience that promotes environmental justice.
  4. Work independently with traditional and nontraditional research.
  5. Share and present ideas, insights, and literary interpretations of environmental literature in a collaborative, collegial environment.
