ENGL 614 - 20th Century British Literature Units: 4 Study of major British works, authors, and literary topics of the 20th century.
Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing. Equivalent Quarter Course: ENGL 6660. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Analyze and interpret 20th century literary texts in clear and cogent prose
- Apply several theoretical perspectives about modernism, postmodernism, colonialism, and post-colonialism to works of 20th century British literature.
- Use stages in the writing process to develop literary criticism for an academic audience.
- Work independently with traditional and nontraditional research.
- Share and present ideas, insights, and literary interpretations in a collaborative, collegial environment.
