ENGL 630 - Women’s Literature

Literary works written in English by women authors throughout the ages.

Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing and declared English major.
Equivalent Quarter Course: ENGL 6650.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

analyze and interpret recurring themes in selected women’s literature in clear and cogent prose.
apply feminist theoretical and critical approaches to global works of literature by diverse women writers.
use stages in the writing process to develop literary criticism for an academic audience.
work independently with traditional and nontraditional research;
share and present ideas, insights, and literary interpretations of women’s literature in a collaborative, collegial environment.
