BIOL 616 - Cell and Molecular Biology I Units: 3 Principles of Molecular Biology, with focus on molecular techniques, genomics, proteomics, epigenetics, and control of gene expression.
Prerequisites: BIOL 310. Equivalent Quarter Course: BIOL 6151. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Demonstrate understanding of concepts and principles of Molecular Biology.
- Demonstrate understanding of modern experimental approaches used to ask fundamental questions in Molecular Biology.
- Evaluate and discuss applications of Molecular Biology.
- Synthesize, present and critique the primary literature in the area of Molecular Biology.
