BIOL 616 - Cell and Molecular Biology I

Principles of Molecular Biology, with focus on molecular techniques, genomics, proteomics, epigenetics, and control of gene expression. 

Prerequisites: BIOL 310.
Equivalent Quarter Course: BIOL 6151.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate understanding of concepts and principles of Molecular Biology.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of modern experimental approaches used to ask fundamental questions in Molecular Biology.
  3. Evaluate and discuss applications of Molecular Biology.
  4. Synthesize, present and critique the primary literature in the area of Molecular Biology.
