PSYC 330 - Cognitive Psychology


Units: 4
Selected topics in thinking and information processing in humans, such as memory, attention, problem solving, language, concept formation, creativity, and imagery.  Experiments and theories are described, analyzed, and interpreted.

Prerequisites: PSYC 200.
Equivalent Quarter Course: PSYC 4220.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Describe the major empirical findings and theories of cognitive psychology.
  2. Explain scientific methods as applied to cognitive processes.
  3. Apply the principles of cognitive psychology to real world settings
