ES 347 - Black Sexualities Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: D4; Diversity An introduction to a broad range of sexual diversities within Black communities including LGBTQ identities to BDSM and polyamory. The course deals with the impact of slavery, pornography, sex work, and hip hop culture on affirmative Black sexual awareness.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area D1-3 requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better. Equivalent Quarter Course: ES 3165. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). G.E./G.R. Area Satisfied: D4 - Upper Division Social Sciences, Overlay - Diversity Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
