PHIL 361 - The Birth of Philosophy: The Greeks & Their Legacy Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C4 Western philosophy from the ancient Greeks (including Socrates, Plato and Aristotle) through the philosophers and theologians of the Middle Ages (including St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas).
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area C requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better. Equivalent Quarter Course: PHIL 3601. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). G.E./G.R. Area Satisfied: C4 - Upper Division Arts or Humanities Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
