POSC 351 - International Relations Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: D4 The conduct of relations among states. The international system, national power, sovereignty, nationalism, ideology; use of diplomacy, propaganda, economic influence, military force; problems of neocolonialism, multinational corporations, racial tensions, nuclear deterrence, war, the role of the United Nations.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area D1-3 requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better. Equivalent Quarter Course: POSC 3520. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
