HSC 440 - Global Health and Disability Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: D4; Social Justice Global health from the perspective of people with disabilities. Eighty percent of people with disabilities live in developing countries. Reflecting an awareness of the needs of fifteen percent of the world’s population, an estimated one billion people.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area D1-3 requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better; and HSC 315. Equivalent Quarter Course: HSC 3100. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. G.E./G.R. Area Satisfied: D4 - Upper Division Social Sciences, Overlay - Social Justice Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
