SLHS 306 - Multilingualism in the United States Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: D4; Diversity Designed for students interested in gaining a deeper understanding of some of the linguistic and cultural groups that make up U.S. society and the issues that surround them. This course will incorporate topics from linguistics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and education.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area D1-3 requirements. Prerequisites: GE Areas A1, A2, A3, and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. G.E./G.R. Area Satisfied: D4 - Upper Division Social Sciences, Overlay - Diversity
