ES 328 - Afro-Latinx Cultures, Identities, Histories Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C4; Social Justice Using a comparative, intersectional lens, this course explores the history, culture, and social aspects of Black Latin Americans and Black Latinx peoples. The course includes discussion of cultural production, social struggles, spiritual and religious traditions, and sexualities of Afro-Latinx communities.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area D1-3 requirements. Prerequisites: Completion of GE A1, A2, A3, and B4 with C-/CR or better. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
