HDEV 423 - Child Language Development Units: 4 Interdisciplinary study of the development of a first language and the biological, linguistic, cognitive, and social factors involved. Development of prelinguistic skills, semantics, syntax, discourse skills, and phonology. Language acquisition theories and hypotheses.
Prerequisites: Junior, senior or post-baccalaureate standing. Credit Restrictions: Not open to students with credit for HDEV 4520 Equivalent Quarter Course: HDEV 4120. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, Entirely On-line, Hybrid (every section of this course may be taught both online and on-ground). Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
