MATH 402 - Mathematics for K-8 Educators I Units: 4 Number systems. Standard and nonstandard algorithms. Divisibility, prime and composite numbers, GCF, LCM. Ratio, proportion, percent. Patterns and functional relationships. Linear and quadratic equations and inequalities. Factoring and completing the square. Systems of linear equations. Real world applications.
Prerequisites: MMP Category II for math or Completion of GE area B4. Credit Restrictions: Not for mathematics major or minor credit. Equivalent Quarter Course: Students who have taken MATH 2011 AND MATH 4014 under a recent quarter catalog will receive credit for MATH 402. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
