MATH 120 - Precalculus Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: B4 Trigonometric, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. Real and complex roots of polynomials. Trigonometric equations, and basic identities; mathematical modeling. Linear equations and matrices.
Prerequisites: Satisfactory score of 63 or higher on Mathematics Placement Exam or MATH 115 with grade C- or better. Credit Restrictions: Not open to students with credit for MATH 125. Equivalent Quarter Course: MATH 1130 and MATH 1300. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). G.E./G.R. Area Satisfied: B4 - Lower Division Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning
