SOC 480 - Global Brazil Units: 4 ; G.E./G.R. Area: Social Justice This survey explores Brazilian society in global context from 1500 to the present, focusing on the cultural, economic, and social ties that connect Brazil to the rest of the world. Major themes include slavery, colonialism, race/ethnicity, and social inequality.
