Units:3 An introduction to basic biochemistry with emphasis on the structure and function of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids as they relate to human health.
Prerequisites: CHEM 161 or CHEM 165, both with grade C- or better. Credit Restrictions: Not for Chemistry or Biochemistry major or minor credit. Equivalent Quarter Course: CHEM 1620. Possible Instructional Methods:Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
