Art, B.F.A.  

Effective January 22, 2019

  • Upper-division Foundation Requirements shall include: Course ART 440
  • Course ART 491 ad hoc shall state: (*BFA Critique is taken 3 times)

Business Administration, B.S.  

Effective August 20, 2018

Major Requirements minimum grade changes:

  • All lower division core, upper division core, and concentration courses are 3 semester units each, and must be taken for a letter grade.  Credit/No Credit is not accepted.
  • Except for BUS 499, each course (including lower division, upper division, and concentration courses) must be completed with a letter grade of “C-” or better.
  • BUS 499 must be completed with a letter grade of “C” or better.

Business Administration, M.B.A.: General Business Concentration   

Effective August 20, 2018

Master of Business Administration One-Year Intenstive Program

  • Students can pursue the General Business Concentration by also applying to the M.B.A. One-Year Program offered through University Extension.

Educational Leadership, Ed.D. **  

Effective April 22, 2008

  • Correct degree title is Educational Leadership, Ed.D.  Students will earn a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. The doctoral program is Educational Leadership for Social Justice.

French, B.A.  

Effective August 20, 2018

  • Upper Division Coursework requirements shall include the following language: “Students who are NOT exempt from lower-division coursework must complete 21 units as outlined below.  Students exempt from lower-division coursework must complete additional upper-division coursework to meet the 24-unit minimum for a B.A. degree.”

Health Sciences, B.S.  

Effective August 20, 2018

Upper Division Core section shall read as follows:

The following 18 units of Health Science coursework is required:

  • HSC 300 - Environmental Health Units: 3 ; G.E./G.R. Area: B6; Sustainability
  • HSC 315 - Public Health Units: 3
  • HSC 330 - Epidemiology Units: 3
  • HSC 355 - Bioethics  or PHIL 312 Bioethics Units: 3
  • HSC 360 - Health Law Units: 3
  • HSC 400 - Health Policy Research and Analysis Units: 3

Elective Courses for Students Not Selecting a Concentration shall read as follows:

Students who do not select a concentration must select an additional 30 units in consultation with an advisor. These electives must be chosen as part of a course plan designed in consultation with an advisor to achieve a student’s learning goals. The course plan must be approved  and filed before taking elective courses. Students may review courses to construct a plan by using the Course Description link in the catalog. All Health Sciences courses have an HSC prefix.

Students who do not create a course plan with an advisor must select 30 units from the following courses:

  • BIOL 270 Human Anatomy and Physiology I (4 units)
  • BIOL 271 Human Anatomy and Physiology II (4)
  • PHYS 125 Principles of Physics I (4)
  • CHEM 111 General Chemistry I (5)
  • CHEM 112 General Chemistry II (5)
  • CHEM 230 Survey of Organic Chemistry (5)
  • CHEM 340 Survey of Biochemistry (3)

Any HSC-prefix course except those listed in the Lower Division Core; the Upper Division Core; the Capstone Requirement;  or any HSC course designated “not for major credit”. Classes in the Lower Division Core; the Upper Division Core; and the Capstone Requirement cannot be used as electives.


Industrial Engineering, B.S.

  • Correction of total units for program: Industrial Engineering, B.S. Program (122 units)
  • Degree Requirements Unit-Outline: A baccalaureate of science degree requires a total of 122 units

Psychology, B.S.: Ergonomics and Human Factors Concentration  

Effective August 20, 2018

Correction to typographical error of listed units:

  • MATH 131 Calculus II is erroneously listed as a 4-unit course under the concentration electives: MATH Group.  This course is actually a 3-unit course, which is correctly displayed under the course description tooltip and the error does not affect the overall concentration unit requirements.
