Dance Minor

Dance Requirements (19 units)

Students must complete 19 units to fulfill the minor. Note: At least 9 units of courses in the minor must be upper division.

Complete the required units in each area:

Students must take two (2) first-level technique courses from the following for 2 units:

DANC 110 - Contemporary Ballet I Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 111 - Hip Hop Dance I Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 113 - Jazz Dance I Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 115 - Modern Dance I Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 116 - Dance Partnering I Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
Students must take one (1) second-level technique course from the following for 1 unit:
DANC 211 - Hip Hop Dance II Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 212 - African Dance Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 213 - Jazz Dance II Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 215 - Modern Dance II Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 216 - Dance Partnering II Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
DANC 217 - Musical Theater Dance Units: 1 ; Breadth Area: GE-E
