CHEM 112L - General Chemistry Laboratory II


Units: 2
Laboratory experience in various chemical techniques for qualitative and quantitative analysis, chemical safety, and experience in data recording, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

Prerequisites: CHEM 111 and CHEM 111L with grade C- or better
Co-requisites: CHEM 112
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Design and perform scientific experiments safely and correctly analyze the data.  
  2. Accurately record the experiments conducted and the results obtained in laboratory notebooks.
  3. Communicate the completed work and the findings in the form of written laboratory reports.
  4. Use empirical data to test and demonstrate chemical concepts.
