CHEM 112L - General Chemistry Laboratory II Units: 2 Laboratory experience in various chemical techniques for qualitative and quantitative analysis, chemical safety, and experience in data recording, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Prerequisites: CHEM 111 and CHEM 111L with grade C- or better Co-requisites: CHEM 112 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Design and perform scientific experiments safely and correctly analyze the data.
- Accurately record the experiments conducted and the results obtained in laboratory notebooks.
- Communicate the completed work and the findings in the form of written laboratory reports.
- Use empirical data to test and demonstrate chemical concepts.
