CIVE 385 - Structural Analysis Units: 3 Analysis of statically determinate and indeterminate beams, trusses, and rigid frames; deflections by virtual-work, moment-area; influence lines; force methods; structural design loads, introduction to structural design, approximate methods.
Prerequisites: CIVE 330 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Understand the behavior of structures under loads.
- Analyze structures statically.
- Be able to apply the knowledge of math and basic sciences to design a system, a component or a process considering realistic constraints.
