FIN 448 - Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis

Practice of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) in organizations. Topics include factors that affect financial performance, forecasting models, reporting, and use of FP&A software.

Prerequisites: FIN 300
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online Asynchronous or Online Synchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Describe the purpose of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within the corporate setting.
  2. List potential sources of FP&A data.
  3. Describe how to manage FP&A data.
  4. Build financial forecasting models.
  5. Make corporate business decisions using financial forecasting models.
  6. Describe the development and use of key performance indicators.
  7. Describe the usage of FP&A software applications.
