HOS 310 - Design & Management of Special Events in Hospitality and Tourism Units: 3 Development of two industry-relevant group projects that entail the plan, design, and management of in-person and digital special events through weekly deliverables. Completion of industry certification(s).
Prerequisites: HOS 100, HOS 110 and HOS 210 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Recognize the importance of economic, social, cultural, political, & environmental sustainability for events.
- Conduct comprehensive research for two events: in-person and virtual.
- Recognize standards and customary event regulations and procedures.
- Develop and design two events: in-person and virtual.
