Formulate an area of research interest leading to the dissertation proposal. With supporting guidance learn the fundaments of beginning the dissertation process.

Prerequisites: Admission to Ed.D. Educational Leadership Program.
Possible Instructional Methods: Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Use multiple forms of reflection to analyze a current problem in educational leadership and demonstrate focused, ethical behavior (1.1).
Demonstrate skills for effective collaborative group work (e.g., inquiry, dialogue, facilitation) and assess use of collaborative structures in multiple contexts (1.3).
Demonstrate understanding of how knowledge is constructed in education and related fields (8.1).
Identify and analyze theoretical and ethical issues in knowledge construction and research practice (8.2).
