ENGL 430 - Bible as Literature Units: 4 Examination of major events, characters, themes and literary forms of the Bible.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of major events, characters, and themes of the Bible.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of underlying literary forms and genres found in the Bible.
- Students will learn to apply modern critical theories and methods to the elucidation of literary elements in the Bible.
- Students will demonstrate their ability to write critically on topics of importance to the Bible, viewed as literature.
