BIOL 434 - Molecular Microbiology Units: 3 Molecular principles underlying microbial genome organization, regulation of various microbial processes, including growth, virulence, and antimicrobial resistance. Overview of how these principles are used in biotechnology and bioremediation.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply foundational scientific principles to summarize and explain findings in current molecular microbiology;
- Discuss and analyze original scientific research articles in molecular microbiology;
- Interpret data and differentiate control versus experimental samples;
- Design controlled experiments to test specific hypotheses.
