CS 431 - Database Architecture Units: 3 Data models, data description and data manipulation languages. Schemas, query processing, database system architecture. Integrity, concurrency, and security techniques. Implementation of data models in a real database.
Prerequisites: CS 301 with grade C- or better. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Analyze a problem that is based on large amounts of data in order to portion the data into areas of the database;
- Develop and maintain a database;
- Implement queries to extract needed information from a database;
- Apply current database technology such as Postgres or MySQL.
