REC 610 - Strategic Leadership and Ethics in Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism Units: 3 Leadership in profit, nonprofit, and public organizations. Topics include talent development, resource allocation, communication strategies, ethical behaviors, and decision making.
Prerequisites: Department consent. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Develop knowledge and understanding core concepts in the process of leadership and ethics.
- Identify the role of execution as the major job of business leaders.
- Compare various approaches in organizing work and developing organizational talent through the sharing of student experiences.
- Analyze the learner’s existing organizational system and develop a plan of action for implementation of an updated model of execution in the learner’s organization.
