KIN 607 - Assessment of Human Performance


Units: 4
Assessing human performance using a range of tools and methodologies. Evaluating limitations within testing environments and protocols available in a range of settings. Communicating and interpreting outcomes to the learner/performer.

Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply testing methods and equipment used in laboratory and/or field settings in order to assess human performance/behavior/skill.
  2. Analyze data, interpret and provide feedback for relevant testing methods in the fields of exercise and physical activity.
  3. Apply methods to analyze research questions.
  4. Evaluate the specificity and reliability of measurement and evaluation methods.
  5. Compare measurements obtained from different testing methods.
  6. Evaluate original and review articles and apply information in a relevant sport setting.
