CHEM 355 - Physical Chemistry Laboratory

Experience in the measurement of physicochemical properties, automated data acquisition, computer analysis of experimental data, and report writing.

Co-requisites: CHEM 351.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Determine magnitude of error bars in calculated quantities based on measured values and their associated uncertainties;
  2. Explain the working principles of various laboratory instruments;
  3. Design experimental methods to achieve the intended objective of the laboratory exercise;
  4. Organize records of experimental methods and data analysis;
  5. Maintain safe practices while performing laboratory work.
