Analysis of compositional styles, music theories, and historical context from the early Renaissance to Classicism. 

Prerequisites: M.A. Music major.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Actively participate in seminar discussions focused on important and relevant issues in the analysis of music.
  2. Address complex and challenging questions related to music theory and musical analysis through the application of critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and research methodology.
  3. Communicate findings clearly and persuasively through both written and verbal means.
