ART 311 - Sculpture III Units: 3 Advanced three-dimensional art making with an emphasis on self-directed investigation and development of a personal style and coherent body of work.
Prerequisites: ART 211. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Express sophisticated aesthetic and conceptual intents in creating artworks that engage an audience in 3D space;

2. Develop a personal and original body of work using advanced tools and techniques;
3. Demonstrate an in-depth ability to use formal principles and design elements to underpin content based work;
- Demonstrated ability to select, emphasize, and present their work in a professional manner that heightens its impact;
- Synthesize additional developments, trends, materials, and approaches in contemporary and historical art and design into their current practice to expand range and depth of work;
- Assess and critique sculptural works in group, individual, and written contexts using nuanced critique tactics leading to meaningful insight and understanding.
