Examination of contemporary theories, research, issues and trends in adolescent development.

Prerequisites: Junior, senior or post-baccalaureate standing.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify and explain the emotional, social, and identity development of an adolescent (SLO 1).
  2. Understand the gender similarities and differences in adolescence (SLO 1,2).
  3. Identify and explain the multiple levels of development that impact adolescence (SLO1,2,3).
  4. Identify and explain the diversity within adolescence (SLO1,2,3,4).
  5. Understand the importance of context as it relates to adolescent development (SLO1,2,3,4).
