TED 643 - Advanced Models and Methods of Curriculum & Instruction


Units: 4
Focus on advanced theory and critical pedagogies to deliver inclusive and diverse instruction to TK-12 students. Inquiry-based learning, Problem-Based Learning, Interdisciplinary Learning and use of Collaborative strategies.

Prerequisites: Admission to the M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction program.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely On-line, or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Create, implement and reflect on a unit based on a
  2. t century model and method of curriculum and instructional delivery appropriate for a specific grade and content area. 2. Evaluate a variety of models and instructional methods to ascertain access for all students.
  3. Demonstrate ability to adapt, modify and support curriculum and instruction through a critical lens corroborated by evidence-based practices.
  4. Identify and synthesize instructional practices that promote inquiry-based learning, problem-based learning, and interdisciplinary learning across all content disciplines.
