REC 693 - Applied Research Project Units: 3 This capstone course involves completion of a field-based project that addresses a management problem in one hospitality, recreation, recreation therapy, or tourism organization. Students will develop a comprehensive management plan or a traditional research project based on analysis of research, data, organization policies, legal requirements, industry standards, and other sources. Advancement to candidacy is required.
Prerequisites: REC 630, REC 680. Equivalent Quarter Course: REC 6901. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Entirely Online, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Analyze current/credible/industry-related research and data, operational reports, organization policies, legal requirements, industry standards, and other resources.
